There are soooo many good stores to find amazing deals on computers. Online shopping is definitely the way to go. Look up the reviews on CNET and Amazon, then find the lowest price on Shopzilla and Pricegrabber. It’s pretty simple and foolproof.

I understand exactly what you went through. My Mom, too, passed away and the saddest part of all was going through all her belonging, everything that was near and dear to her, and deciding what to keep and what to donate. It was like dismantling her life, item by item, and all the memories they brought back was overwhelming at times. I just wanted to close my eyes and make it all go away, but that was not an option.
