Setting Up for a Wedding

Posted By Admin on October 10, 2008 @ 2:57 pm

Somehow, I volunteered to help my sister setup her friend’s wedding hall.  I don’t know what I was thinking, but a promise is a promise and I knew that I had to show up to help.  It was kind of funny that I would have promised in the first place as I didn’t know the girl, but that really didn’t matter.

Everything seemed pretty straight forward and mundane when it came to what we had to setup.  It was as though the bride and groom didn’t really put any thought into making their ceremony unique and I was a little disappointed.

It wasn’t until I was asked to help with the aisle runner that things started to get interesting.  You see, they ordered a custom aisle runner from one of those online stores that sold custom aisle runners and it looked great.  It was elegant and simple, but would make a wonderful souvenir of their special day.

Too bad I won’t be able to see their ceremony - I wasn’t invited.

Beautiful and Historic Wedding Destination

One of the most popular wedding spots in Australia is the central coast which offers beautiful  landscapes and luxury accommodations for the bride and groom along with the wedding party.

If it an outdoor wedding or ceremony with lots of tradition is what you are after, Linton Gardens is a beautiful place to get both. Their front drive with massive trees lining both sides sets the stage for a grand entrance even if you are not coming for the wedding, but the one hundred year old chapel is the prize winner on their landscape.

They offer many options in a wedding package, from garden weddings for a few guest to rather large parties with a five course breakfast for a larger wedding. The photos look simply breathtaking and if I were to have an outside wedding, It would be in that setting. This destination is an award winner for landscaping and fine dining for several years in a row also, so you know they are dedicated to good service and quality provisions.

Wedding limos needed

My sister in law is getting married this summer and the last detail is hiring a Philadelphia limo service. They left it till last because they weren’t sure what they needed or for how many.

The details have been worked out now and they know they need enough room for the bride, groom, parents of both, and the maid of honor and brides maids as well as the groomsmen.

They want to have one limo for the bride and her maids and one limo for the groom and his men to use on the way to the service, then the bride and groom will ride together after the ceremony to the party. The family and maids and groomsmen can ride in the other cars.

They are having an outside wedding then moving to a hotel for the party which why they need several cars. It took them forever to decide how they wanted to do that part which is why we are down to just a month or two to find the service.
