Living in Saskatchewan, I had never needed an auto insurance quote before. It is all government run there and you pay whatever they tell you to pay. When we moved out of province, I was a little lost when I found out that I had to shop around with different companies.
Things were so much simpler in Saskatchewan, albeit more expensive. It was actually fun to find out what different companies charged for car insurance. I did, however, learn that if I got into an accident, it would cost me a lot more here than it would have before.
I guess as long as I drive safe and keep my record clean, then car insurance Ontario will be way cheaper in the long run. I am a pretty good driver, even more so since becoming a mom, but I still have to worry about all the crazy people that I am sharing the road with.
About a year ago I switched out cars. I bought a newer one (still about 7 years old though) and the difference in price was pretty noticeable. However, even though I didn’t owe anything on it and owned it outright, I opted to keep full coverage auto insurance on it.
There are several benefits to full coverage car insurance, one being the rental car option in case you are suddenly left without a vehicle.
Another benefit to full coverage insurance is that you are covered in more situations. Basic or liability car insurance pretty much just covers someone else if you hit them or cause an accident while driving your car. Full coverage will help if you are hit by a tree or hail or something out of your control but not caused by another insured person.
With the ease of on line systems today, getting auto insurance quotes isn’t hard, but do your homework so you’ll get the best deal that you can.
For my last job my company sent a team of people to get advanced training in Philadelphia and our company rented a Philadelphia car service for us. Since we all arrived at the same time on the same flight and there were about ten of us, the company sent out a mini coach instead of a limo.
It reminded me on the outside of a bus used by hotels and airports to shuttle people back and forth. I rode one of these from the Vegas airport into town to my hotel a couple years ago.
However, the cool part was that the inside was all partied out! It was custom on the inside with leather side seats and a mini bar and very fun lighting. The bosses felt we deserved some great treatment since we were top producers in our company. We were all really surprised but it didn’t end there. We had a driver of some sort ready every day to take us wherever we needed to go!
My husband and I just purchased some magnetic car signs from a local printing company. We stuck them on the doors of our cars and are hoping that they are useful in generating some new business. We are a fairly new company and are not that well known yet, so we were hoping that the signs would help.
We also each have custom license plates on the front of our cars with the business logo and phone number on them. We have had these for awhile, but as they are so small, I really don’t think that people pay much attention to them. They are also on the completely wrong spot of the vehicle. No one looks at the front of your car.
We have followed all of the safety signs for starting a new business. We figure once the business takes off, we will make the advertising on the vehicle more permanent, but for now, the magnets are the way to go. If the business tanks, the decals can go down with it, but I can keep the car.
My dad has two Budge SUV covers for his Ford Explorer and he uses them all the time. He has recently become the proud owner of a new Honda bike and it is definitely his new baby. I am happy for him because he deserves it.
With his birthday, I wanted to get him something that he will love. It hit me that the best idea would be to find him some motorcycle covers, like the ones he has for the Explorer. It was a grand idea and now I am on a mission to find some really good quality ones.
I decided to go to a place that deals with truck covers and enquire about ones for bikes. They didn’t have any on hand, but said that they would be happy to order some in for me. They found a catalogue that contained an assortment of them and I decided which I wanted. They came in last week. I am so going to be Dad’s favorite this year.
The Porsche Carrera GT is a supercar that was manufactured by Porsche in Germany. Â
Sporting a 5.7 liter V10, 612 hp engine and six speed manual transmission, the Carrera can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. To help keep the car on the ground, the rear spoiler deploys at speeds above 70 mph.
Some highlights of the technology incorporated into the Porsche Carrera include a cabon-fiber monocoque, a dry sump lubrication system, and ceramic brake pads.  Inside the layout is nearly perfect.  A snug driver seat and even the shifter is placed closer than normal to the steering wheel – within easy reach of the driver.
Sadly only 1,270 of these supercars were produced.  Production of these cars started in 2004.  Plagued by high inventory levels and sales below the suggested retail price, the Carrera GT was discontinued in 2006.
