European football clubs and fans look forward to New Year, which will begin in January, but more than anything they look forward to January Transfer Window. There are two times in a year when football clubs get to sign players from other teams. The two periods in one year are the mentioned month of January, and the summer transfer window, staring at the beginning of June, and lasting until August.

Many new players enrich various teams in August, at the beginning of the football season. Young players from youth teams or reserve often get promoted to the clubs, but players from other clubs also get signed. These signings are done with one aim: to improve the midfield, attack or defense. If the new player comes from another team, they usually need some time to adapt to the way the new team plays. This usually isn’t the case with players signed from reserve of youth team.

Some say that signing are a big gamble, because no one can guarantee that the new team members will perform as eye catchingly as they did in their previous teams, because it is possible they will not fit in. If the signed player is of high profile, it usually means that the teams spent a lot of money to sign him, or tat the fans demanded him. With them, it sometimes happens that they are unable to perform well due to intense pressure.

Signing is January are sometimes seen as signing done in panic. When a player is panic signed, it means the team had to have him. A team manager needs to sign a good attack player if their team is nose-diving because of problems in that area. January is a good opportunity to sign new players if the current players in the area are injured of performing badly.

There’s a little blip in the January transfer if compared to June. It usually happens that the majority of big profile players are cup tied in January. It is not a practice for European clubs to buy players who participate in the UEFA Championship league. If one player is cup tied (he participated in that competition in the current season with his club), he can’t play for some other team. If it happens such a player gets signed, they will be allowed to play, but only in the domestic league.

Players who get signed in the transfer in January are in most cases those who were targeted by the team for a while. Scouts are sent by managers so they could watch the players for a long time before the signing. It is not easy to sign a player. Clubs that do the transfer need to reach an agreement when signing the player bout the sum of money. When this is resolved, the player in question has to settle for his weekly wage, bonuses for matches as well as for the annual percentage that the new club will offer. Sign up fees also need to be paid when a player who’s a free agent gets signed.

Individuals that bet and individuals that don’t bet by using some form of football stats or research.
