Somehow, I volunteered to help my sister setup her friend’s wedding hall. I don’t know what I was thinking, but a promise is a promise and I knew that I had to show up to help. It was kind of funny that I would have promised in the first place as I didn’t know the girl, but that really didn’t matter.
Everything seemed pretty straight forward and mundane when it came to what we had to setup. It was as though the bride and groom didn’t really put any thought into making their ceremony unique and I was a little disappointed.
It wasn’t until I was asked to help with the aisle runner that things started to get interesting. You see, they ordered a custom aisle runner from one of those online stores that sold custom aisle runners and it looked great. It was elegant and simple, but would make a wonderful souvenir of their special day.
Too bad I won’t be able to see their ceremony – I wasn’t invited.
Ever since I was a teenager I have been drinking coffee. I don’t really recall how exactly that happened, but I have been an avid coffee drinker ever since.
For the most part, I buy coffee at the coffee shop on the way to work. They tell me that their coffee is the best because of the best coffee makers that they use, their special coffee blend, and they’re careful selection of the best coffee pot out of the rest available on the market.
After I realized how much I was spending on coffee each month, I decided that I could maybe go out and see if I could find one of the best coffee maker on the market in the store and try making my own coffee at home.
I was sad to end up using my supposed "best" coffee maker and ending up with the worst coffee that ever had in my life. Maybe it was bad coffee grounds or the coffee maker but I’m really confused as to how I am supposed to make good coffee at home.
Though it makes me sound like a spoiled brat, I love to only have the best things in life. My reasoning for this is that as a child, we had to scrimp and save everything, so there was nothing left over for the simple things in life such as a snack.
So, it should come as no surprise that once I finished high school that I would attend some form of post secondary education. I decided that I would be interested in attending hair school, but I knew it would take some time to figure out the difference between one beauty academy and the next.
Thankfully, the Internet provided the perfect medium for finding the best beauty school in the county and hopefully I will be able to attend a class there after after the new year. I can’t wait to do something that I want to do for a change.
