Never going to use a Map Again

I have always been a fan of maps – if you follow them, you rarely get lost.  At least that is how it has been all of my life, and I tend to stick with what I know.

But when we rented a car to go to a convention out of town, it was equipped with one of those GPS devices that you always hear about on the news and in stores.  I guess my wife ordered it so that we would have a smoother trip, though I didn’t understand why she didn’t trust my maps.

It took a while to get used to using the device, but once we started it was clear that it worked amazingly well.  Even the time that we were talking a bit too much and missed our turn, it told us nicely how to get back on track.

Sadly, the maps were forgotten, and we relied on the GPS the whole trip.  I think my wife is going to buy me one for my birthday, at which point I don’t think that I will ever use a map again.
