Looking at College Course Requirements

I thought that it would be a good idea to look at the expectations of the classes I was going to attend in college before I registered for them.  I wanted to know what I would be looking at for workload as well as get a rough idea of how many dissertations I would have to write each term.

It was not that I was against thesis writing, but my biggest problem with dissertations was that it took me way too long to get them done.  Ever since I was in high school, I realized that I was a perfectionist when it came to writing.  So, I would proof read at least a dozen times, revising the paper each time.

Sure, my marks ended up being great, but the time commitment was absurd.  That was the reason that I didn’t become an English major – there were just not enough hours in the day.

Thankfully, I picked something that didn’t require a lot of writing – computer science.  I am so happy that I looked ahead before I made my choice – or I probably wouldn’t be finished college yet.
