Herbal Supplements and Remedies

I have been struggling to get rid of a winter cold that has been afflicting me for about eight weeks now. It has now turned into bronchitis and laryngitis. The hardest part for me is that I am seven months pregnant and cannot take any medications that might make me more comfortable for the duration.

I decided the best thing to do is to go and see Dr. Ng, my naturopath and talk to him about any herbal remedies that he could recommend that would help me deal with the illness, but not harm the baby. As he is such a wise man, I knew he would help me, and he did.

He told me to take some herbal supplements that would aid in the absorption of vitamin C into my body. Vitamin C, he said, was the key to fighting off a cold. He also told me to take one prenatal vitamin in the morning and one at night, and to eat three oranges a day until the cold had cleared up.

I went to the small shop in town that carried the herbal supplements that Dr. Ng had suggested I take. I bought two bottles for good measure and started taking them that very evening. Within three days, you would not have ever guessed that I had been sick. Next time I will not wait so long.
