iPod Illiterate : I Admit I Have a Problem

Well, sometimes I walk around thinking that I know everything.  At least I thought I knew everything until I made a purchase that changed my point of view.

This past week, while shopping for cleaning supplies, I happened to stop in the electronics section of the store.  My MP3 player had died last week, so I decided I would check out what was available and get one later.

The clerk was kind enough to show me an iPod Touch – and I was hooked.  I picked up the Touch, some iPod Touch accessories including a carrying case, some protective covers for the screen, and some iPod stereo speakers.  I also purchased an extended warranty and went home all happy with my decision.

Now, three hours later, I was not feeling happy at all.  You see, I just couldn’t figure out how start an iPod to PC transfer.  I thought I had it hooked up properly, but, well, it just wasn’t working.

It was at this point I realized I didn’t know everything and I needed help.

I called a girlfriend of mine and she will be coming over tomorrow to help me out.  I am sure I just missed something simple, but I think I will have to write all the steps down so that I will be able to do it on my own.
