Secure Online Shopping

Posted By Admin on December 30, 2007 @ 2:54 pm

There have been new developments in technology that can help you to have a secure online shopping experience.

Why would you want a secure shopping experience?

I am sure that you are familiar with identity theft and fraud right?  Well, with the current method of inputting your credit card number online, there is the potential for someone to steal your number and make unauthorized purchases with your card.

Now, with smart card technology becoming more popular, there are good ways to secure your online shopping experience.  You see, the card encoding used on smart cards is very secure, meaning that anyone will have difficulties accessing or using your card.

To enhance your shopping experience at home, you can use a chip card reader installed in your computer, to use your smart card enhanced credit card while shopping online.

While you are on the go, there have also been some SIM Applications that allow you to shop directly from your phone without divulging your credit card information.

A Misunderstood Illness

Posted By Mitefind on December 29, 2007 @ 2:01 pm

I was embarrassed the first time I got a prescription for antidepressants. I had to go and buy Zoloft and I was so concerned about what people must think of me. Now that I have come to grips with my illness, I realize that it was silly of me to think this way. The reason these drugs are prescribed is to help us, not make us feel worse.

I was lucky enough to only have to take them for a short while and was weaned off quite easily. After the birth of my son, I experienced a relapse, in the form of post-partum depression. This time I chose to order Paxil and it, too, worked well and I recovered rather quickly.

After the birth of my daughter, the same thing happened. Only this time, it wouldn’t go away. My doctor suggested that I order Prozac online and hope that would work. It did work and I was happy that my family was complete. It has now been three years and I am a happy-go-lucky mom and have not had a relapse at all.

Settling In Virtual Catan

Posted By Mitefind on December 28, 2007 @ 3:49 pm

My very favorite game in the whole world is Settlers of Catan.  It is a classic game and was on the top of my wish list for presents this Christmas.  My wonderful husband bought it for me and I was delighted.  But, I now had the problem of finding people who wanted to play it with me.

My husband suggested that I go look at online games sites and see if there was a version that I could play online.  I would have the option to play against the computer, so that I would always have opponents to play against.  I thought this would be a grand idea, and it became my new mission.

At first, all of the searches I tried only brought up results for casino games, but I pressed on.  I finally hit the jackpot when I managed to find a free version of the game.  It also came in a variety of different maps to keep it challenging.  I have played it so much since I found it – man do I love this game!

Doing a Little Business Research

Posted By Admin on @ 12:53 pm

Before you invest in a new business, you should do your due diligence, or research, to make sure that it is a good investment.  At least that is what I read in a business guide that I picked up at the library, and it seems to be sound advice.

Since I have been considering starting a home business to supplement my regular income, I decided that I could look online for business information regarding what offerings there are available.  I weeded out some of the businesses that sold feminine products like makeup (since I know nothing about it and have no interest) and came up with a short list of prospective opportunities that I would be interested in.

While looking at the online business information on these sites, I noticed that there were many different reviews from individuals and companies that either had tried out the products, or had sold them.  Looking back at my guide from the library, it suggested that looking at home business reviews are a good substitute for asking someone that you know that is in the program.  The trick was, that the reviews you read should be from more than one site, so that you can be sure that they are not sponsored reviews.

So, even though I have just started, it seems like there will be a lot of work for me to do before I actually start a home business.  But I know that after I have done the research, it will be more likely that I pick a winner of a business – and that is exactly what I am looking for.

A Break from the Kids

Posted By Mitefind on December 27, 2007 @ 9:21 am

As I was tucking my two-year-old into bed, for the third time, tonight, it crossed my mind that I really need a vacation without the kids. I don’t know when the last time is that my husband and I had any time alone together and I thought it would be great if we could plan to have a weekend away.

I was mentioning this to my friend and she suggested that we go to Las Vegas. I thought this would be a little pricier than we could afford and I told her this. She suggested that since it was slow season there, I should ask about Las Vegas hotel discounts.

I did a quick search for Excalibur offer codes (one of my dream hotels to stay at) and was blown away at the amount and number of discounts offered. These were definitely prices that we could afford and I was now getting excited about actually doing and not just saying.

The MGM Grand offer codes (another one of my dream hotels) I found will make our trip a lot more affordable and within our budget. My husband will be home from work in a few hours, and once I show him the numbers, I am sure he will agree that this is a wonderful idea. If he needs extra convincing, he can put the kids to bed tomorrow night. All three times!

Trying Out New Baby Products

Posted By Admin on December 26, 2007 @ 8:35 pm

We own a small baby clothing and accessories store.  We have operated it for many years and have seen many products come and go.  But this year, we received some products that look like they will stay because of their health benefits.

Just a few years ago we had our first organic baby food hit our shelves and we have never looked back.  Parents bought the food because it was a healthier choice for their children, free from harmful pesticides and chemicals.

We now have a couple of new organic offerings for our clients – organic baby clothing and organic baby bedding.  These products are free from dyes and chemicals that are commonly found in store bought products and that could be harmful for your baby.

We have found that in the few short weeks we have had organic baby clothes that they have been flying off of the shelves.  It looks like organic products are going to stay.

It Worked For Me

Posted By Mitefind on December 23, 2007 @ 10:08 am

If you or someone you know has asthma than you may be familiar with Biotek Ephedrine. It is an over the counter medication used to treat asthma and has been very effective in treating a lot of people. I have been using it for many years and have experienced great success with it. I know that my results may not be typical for everyone, but I still think it is worth trying.

Using Ephedrine for asthma is not something new, but it is surprising how many people don’t know about it. I am not sure if there are doctors that do not recommend it, but my doctor wholeheartedly agreed when I suggested that I wanted to give it a try. He told me that as long as I read all the labels and treated it like I should any medication, that it certainly wouldn’t hurt trying

I now buy Ephedrine on a regular basis, as it has become a big part of my preventative therapy. I am so glad that I found out about it and that it worked for me. It is so much easier than ending up in the emergency room every couple of weeks because you can’t breathe.

Something to Believe In

Posted By Mitefind on December 22, 2007 @ 11:22 am

I am currently managing a shoe store. It is not a regular shoe store, but one that sells only Croc shoes. They come in assorted styles and colors and happen to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The reason I am managing the store is because I really believe in the product and I won’t sell something that I do not have faith in.

Crocs are starting to get more popular as more and more people hear of the comfort and benefits of wearing them. I see them all over the place now and the store is usually pretty busy. We also have a lot of repeat customers, which is a good sign that they are good shoes.

We recently brought in all terrain Crocs. They are good in winter weather and are good for hiking and such. I was glad to see them, as Crocs were previously just a summer shoe. They have sold very well and I have had to place two extra orders for them as they sell out very quickly. It is a good job and I love making this product known to people, especially those that have experienced foot pain and have had problems finding comfortable shoe in the past.

A Perfect Match

I saw a selection of contemporary rugs the other day and was instantly sold. I have had hardwood floors for over two years and thought I would never have a rug in my house again. I used to hate the carpeting that we had. But, these rugs were so nice and I could just picture them in my home, looking so lovely.

I had to stop myself from reaching into my patchwork handbag and purchasing the rugs on the spot. I knew that an impulse buy would not be a good idea. I inquired about having someone come out to match some of the rugs to my décor and was pleasantly surprised that they would, indeed, do this.

They came to my house, donned in ties and jackets, and brought along many samples. We found some perfect matches to three of the rooms in my house and I was completely sold. I had to have these rugs.

Time to Hire New Staff

Posted By Admin on December 20, 2007 @ 2:37 pm

Now that we have our website design done for our online store, I have been thinking that we should expand our store.  With the increase in sales at this time of year, we are in need of new staff and a couple of new managers for our business.

Instead of using the traditional methods of placing a help wanted ad, we have instead decided to rely on a professional recruitment firm to find us potential candidates.  This way it frees up our personnel from the task of going through resumes and conducting interviews.  We will get the list of potential candidates and we can do our interviews from there.

We have also taken advantage of an HR training service that will be in charge of training those candidates we hire to get them up to speed on our business procedures and systems.

Pricing for these services was very reasonable and it also frees up our staff do to what they should be doing – working for the business.
