The Porsche Carrera GT is a supercar that was manufactured by Porsche in Germany.
Sporting a 5.7 liter V10, 612 hp engine and six speed manual transmission, the Carrera can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. To help keep the car on the ground, the rear spoiler deploys at speeds above 70 mph.
Some highlights of the technology incorporated into the Porsche Carrera include a cabon-fiber monocoque, a dry sump lubrication system, and ceramic brake pads. Inside the layout is nearly perfect. A snug driver seat and even the shifter is placed closer than normal to the steering wheel – within easy reach of the driver.
Sadly only 1,270 of these supercars were produced. Production of these cars started in 2004. Plagued by high inventory levels and sales below the suggested retail price, the Carrera GT was discontinued in 2006.
